Buy to let insurance: 'Sensibly' priced country homes in demand Buy to let insurance policyholders have been told that there is still a healthy market for country homes which are priced appropriately.
Hadley Lyas, director at Fine & Country Homes, said that despite recent reports, "sensibly" priced country homes continue to receive interest and offers from buyers.
"Where the properties are sticking in the market is when clients or vendors are wanting to try and push a price too high. Those sorts of houses will obtain viewings, but they won't necessarily achieve any offers," he explained.
Mr Lyas's comments support recent figures from Buying Solution, which reported that the £1.5 to £3 million country homes market is performing particularly well for the company.
"Anything over about £3 million at the moment is taking its time to sell – unless there is something particularly unique about it," Mr Lyas added.
Meanwhile, property in Central London continues to perform strongly, as interest from foreign investors maintains demand in the capital.
