Healing Ourselves, Is It Possible?

Many people who become ill have to stop doing what they are busy doing and take time out to heal. Whether this is just for a couple of days in bed to get over a bug or a longer term illness which can really make you stop and take stock and can sometimes changes your life forever. Usually, with a more serious illness, some people start looking back at their lives to understand why they have the illness in the first place This illness can come as a wake up call to the individual, which really means, it is time to stop what you are doing and start paying attention to what really matters. The body is a wonderful thing but so many of us abuse it, feed it foods that aren't really that great and forget that this body is the vehicle that carries us around through life. If we filled our cars with the wrong fuel where would that get us? We would have a damaged engine. The same applies to our bodies; feed the wrong food, performance is down, we have low energy levels, we feel ill.. So many of us blame others for our illnesses instead of looking at ourselves and asking 'where have I gone wrong or what have I done to myself?' There is no doubt about it Personal Development advises that when you sit down in a quiet place, slow down and stop rushing about all over the place, then you can sometimes see things differently and find the answers to your questions. If we all started to take responsibility for what we do to ourselves then I believe we would not have the problems we have within the health service When I become ill, and this is a rare thing nowadays, I ask myself the question, what have I done to have created this illness? I know this may sound a bit odd but usually I find an answer and once realised, I am more often than not, healed. What I will say is that the answer has always come from within. I hardly ever take medication. Many times it is usually because of something emotional and my body reacts to this by giving me a headache or by making me feel nauseous. Once I have identified this I can then allow the emotional feelings up and then let them go. It works for me. Thanks for reading.
